Just some things I like and want to share with you . ✨ (always under construction)

🎮 Games I adore

RPGs
Dredge (Black Salt Games)
The design and atmosphere of this game are incredible. I adore its simple yet addicting fishing component and enjoyed discovering small bits of lore throughout its runtime. Plus, inventory management and ship upgrades? Sign me up.
The Legend of Zelda – Breath of the Wild (Nintendo)
What’s not to love about this Switch classic? The way BoTW influenced the video game industry with its open-world freedom is iconic. And its sound design? Chef’s kiss.
Horizon – Zero Dawn (Guerrilla Games)

Rogue-likes/Rogue-lites
Moonlighter (Digital Sun & Crunching Koalas)
Enter the Gungeon (Dodge Roll, Mythic Entertainment & 22nd Century Toys LLC)
Hades (Supergiant Games)
Dead Cells (Motion Twin & Evil Empire)

Others
Overcooked / Overcooked 2 (Team17, Ghost Town Games)
Minecraft (Mojang)
Conduct TOGETHER! (Northplay)

🎥 Movies I adore

Non-animated
Everything Everywhere All at Once (Daniels Kwan & Scheinert)
This is the only movie I have bought on an online streaming platform. I’ve watched it a total of 10 times at this point. There is so much effort to make this film a masterpiece, from its visuals to its acting to its screenplay—a nihilistic joy to experience. Always tearing up at the end.
Problemista (Julio Torres)

Animated
Nimona (Troy Quane, Nick Bruno)
The Boy and the Heron (Hayao MIyazaki)
– The Wild Robot (Chris Sanders)

📚 Books I adore

Fiction
Afterlife (Julia Alvarez)
A woman’s stream of consciousness explores family, loss, and grief. I read this in three days. It was the first book I picked up to read for pleasure in a long time, and it did not disappoint.

Circe (Madeline Miller)
As a former Percy Jackson kid, Miller hit the jackpot with this one. The perspective brought to the Greek mythos by Miller’s female characters is refreshing, and you can feel every bit of deception, anguish, pride, and catharsis the eponymous main character experiences throughout. A great binge read.

Non-fiction
Historia General de Puerto Rico (Fernando Picó)
One of the best history books of Puerto Rican history. Required reading from my undergraduate, and for good reason. It’s easy to read and Picó is probably the most influential historian from the island. His other book, History of Puerto Rico: A Panorama of its People por Fernando Pico is also worth the read.
